The Casio G‑Shock GA‑100 is a rugged analog‑digital watch built for durability and utility. It’s designed to resist shock and vibration using G‑Shock’s trademark protective hardware, and it’s also resistant to magnetic fields (JIS Class 1 magnetic resistance) for improved durability in challenging environments. Water resistance is rated at 200 meters (20 bar), meaning it can handle swimming, snorkeling, and most water activities short of deep diving.
In terms of features, the GA‑100 packs a lot for its price. You get a 1/1000‑second stopwatch (with speed calculation), a countdown timer (auto‑repeat), world time (multiple time zones), 5 daily alarms plus a snooze alarm, and a full auto‑calendar. The display combines analog hands (hour and minute) with multiple digital sub‑displays for seconds, date, day etc., all laid out to give good informational density without being overwhelming. Illumination comes via an LED light (with auto or afterglow options), helping visibility in low light conditions. Its battery life is roughly 2 years on a standard CR1220 cell.
