Released for the PlayStation 4 on February 18, 2020, this racing and simulation game is designed to be a realistic and competitive experience for both beginners and seasoned drone pilots. It features four distinct flight modes—Arcade, GPS, Angle, and Acro—which progressively increase the level of control and difficulty, allowing new players to learn the ropes and experts to practice the full, unassisted control used in real-life racing. The game's highly realistic physics engine means that top players can even use the game to qualify for the DCL Draft Selection and compete in the real-world Drone Champions League.
With a variety of game modes including time attack, free flight, and online multiplayer with up to 30 people, DCL: The Game offers a lot of content for fans of the sport. It includes over 30 spectacular tracks, many of which are modeled after real-world DCL racing locations like the snow halfpipes of Laax, Switzerland, and the castle ruins of Reutte, Austria. Players can also choose from three physical presets for their drones—lightweight, DC19-Standard, and heavyweight—each with a different flight behavior to master. The game can be played with a standard PS4 controller, but for the most authentic experience, it also supports connecting an authentic drone transmitter.
