Resident Evil 6 for Playstation 4
Resident Evil 6 on PlayStation 4 presents a sprawling, action-oriented take on the survival horror franchise, dividing its narrative into four interconnected campaigns. Players control familiar faces like Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield, alongside new characters, as they navigate global outbreaks of the C-virus. The game's emphasis on cooperative play, with each campaign designed for two players, shifts the focus towards intense action sequences and set-piece encounters. This departure from the series' traditional slower-paced horror elements resulted in a more cinematic and bombastic experience.
While Resident Evil 6 received mixed reviews for its departure from the series' roots, it offered a substantial amount of content and gameplay variety. Each campaign features distinct gameplay mechanics and environments, catering to different playstyles. The inclusion of Mercenaries mode and a robust online component further extends the game's lifespan. Despite its divisive reception, Resident Evil 6 remains a significant entry in the franchise, offering a unique and ambitious take on the survival horror genre.
