Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller
The Microsoft Xbox 360 controller, released alongside the Xbox 360 console in 2005, is renowned for its ergonomic design and versatility. It builds upon the foundation of its predecessor, the “Controller S,” by refining the button layout and improving overall comfort. Key features include two clickable analog sticks, a digital D-pad, four face buttons (A, B, X, Y), two analog triggers, and two shoulder buttons. The central Xbox Guide button, surrounded by the “ring of light,” serves to power on the console and controller, access the system's guide menu, and indicate the player's number. The controller was available in both wired and wireless versions, with the wireless model using a proprietary 2.4 GHz protocol and powered by AA batteries.
