Makita DHP458Z 18V LXT Combi Drill (Body Only) is a compact and capable 18 V cordless combi hammer drill designed for both tradespeople and serious DIYers who already own Makita’s 18 V LXT battery system. Its compact overall length of just 225 mm makes it easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces while still delivering strong drilling and driving performance thanks to a two-speed gearbox and a rugged DC motor. The combi drill offers a maximum torque of up to 91 Nm and versatile performance across materials — drilling up to about 65 mm in wood, 16 mm in masonry and 13 mm in steel — and includes hammer action for tackling tougher masonry work. It also features a single-sleeve keyless metal chuck for quick bit changes and a variable speed trigger for precise control.
Built with durability and jobsite practicality in mind, the DHP458Z includes features like enhanced dust and drip-proof performance for use in harsher environments, a twin LED job light with pre-glow and after-glow functions for better visibility in low-light situations, and an electric brake for greater precision when stopping between holes. As a body-only unit, batteries and charger are not included, allowing you to expand your existing LXT toolkit without unnecessary extras — and it comes ready to accept any Makita 18 V battery you already own.
