Set in a stylised version of the American frontier, Evil West puts you in the boots of Jesse Rentier, one of the last agents of a secret vampire-hunting organisation. A dark menace has swept across the land, and humanity’s survival teeters on a razor’s edge as ancient supernatural threats emerge from the shadows. The game mixes Wild West aesthetics — dusty towns, railroads, oil fields — with gothic horror monsters, putting players in the role of a high-powered monster hunter who must rise up, defend civilization and confront the terror head-on.
Gameplay-wise, Evil West is a visceral, over-the-top action experience combining firearms, melee gauntlet attacks and upgrade systems. You’ll take down bloodthirsty monstrosities with revolvers, lever-action rifles, a lightning-charged gauntlet and high-tech gadgets. The campaign supports solo or two-player co-op, and features a perk-upgrade system, weapon mods and evolving tools so you can tailor your monster-slaying style. The tone is loud, bold, and very much about fun action rather than deep narrative complexity.
